The training process begins several weeks before your store opens. We tailor each training schedule individually around your personal life schedule beginning with training over the telephone utilizing manuals, workbooks, and other materials to guide you through the operational aspects of running your retail business. Our in-house professional training staff has many years of experience setting up and managing large retail operations and they pass that knowledge on to you. This high level of training and support is available for the entire life of your business.
After the initial training has been completed, you will be invited to our 22,000 square foot Las Vegas headquarters for 3 days of intensive classroom training that ends with you spending a day at an actual working dollar store to gain actual hands on experience.
At the training you will go thru the daily routine of opening the store, setting the cash register, stocking, ordering merchandise and performing the closing duties. Our hands-on training program is highly recommended and – like everything at our company – it is included in the store package price.

JW Imports, a wholesale company, will assign a representative to work directly with you. They will provide detailed information regarding over 75 suppliers, including discounted pricing, freight concessions, and special promotions. A representative will also work with you on securing seasonal merchandise and assist you in selecting suppliers that can provide you with – based on your geographical location – the most cost-effective purchasing opportunities. Your Wholesale Representative will contact you on a regular basis, and provide you with the weekly newsletter.
The “Dollars and Sense” newsletter is full of information on exciting new merchandise as soon as it becomes available, and discusses topics such as how to get ready for upcoming holidays, tips from other retailers, and much, much more. Invested In Your Success

At the end of your first 30 days of business, Dollar Store Services, Inc. offers to perform a formal review of your store. We ask that you submit a video of the entire store; we review the video in conjunction with the daily sales records, purchasing log, advertising history, payroll information, and the first month’s Profit and Loss Statement. Our Senior Management Staff participates in this 30-day review in an effort to confirm that you understand the workings of your business and are headed in the right direction. Additionally, at this same time, we will provide you with a form and ask you to grade our performance in the many areas involved in the setting up of your new store. We welcome your suggestions!
